110 women living in Kerry had abortions in 2020

110 women who had an abortion last year in Ireland were living in Kerry at the time of the procedure.

The Department of Health says nationally 6,577 abortions were carried out in 2020.

This is 89 fewer than 2019, the first year women could legally access the service in the Republic.

Around 36 per cent of women said they were living in Dublin at the time of their procedure, with almost 10 per cent residing in Cork.
