11 new buses have been added to Kerry’s public transport fleet.
Bus Éireann has taken delivery of the easily accessible coaches, which will operate across seven routes in the county.
The eleven blue and yellow buses are in the Transport for Ireland livery and include features such as priority seats, dedicated wheelchair and child buggy spaces, USB sockets and complimentary Wi-Fi for passengers.
Bus Éireann Assistant Services Manager in Kerry Frances McCarthy says the operator is an integral part of the community, making more than 411 daily trips across the county and carrying more than 900,000 passengers a year in Kerry prior to the pandemic.
All of the new vehicles have the latest Euro VI emissions certificate which reduces carbon emissions by up to 90% compared to those in 2000.
