390 new cases of COVID-19 and 11 more deaths have been notified to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre this evening.
Four of the deaths occurred this month, two in March, four in February, and one in January.
Of the 390 new cases confirmed, fewer than five are in Kerry. Dublin has the highest number at 172, followed by Kildare with 42, Meath has 21 new cases, Tipperary 20, and Donegal 18. Kerry has the fourth lowest 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 population. The figure in this county is 38.6 per 100,000. The national average is 113.9 per 100,000. Kildare has the highest rate at 209 per 100,000.
As of April 18th, 1,208,459 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered - 855,512 people have received their first dose while 352,947 have got their second jab.
There have now been 244,297 confirmed cases of the virus in Ireland and 4,847 people with COVID-19 have died.
